The Severn Valley Railway is home to a number of diesel locomotives. These are used for shunting and also to haul certain passenger services. The Railway is also home to a 5-car Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU).
Most of the diesel locomotives are based at the Diesel Depot at Kidderminster. However operational diesel locomotives are also stationed at Bridgnorth and Bewdley.

From time to time other Diesel locomotives visit the Severn Valley Railway for gala appearances or for maintenance.
