Entirely speculation, the 1927 improvements referred to in the recent addition could have been connected with the opening that year of Stourport Power Station A--Patrick Hearn (talk) 15:42, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

Certainly possible, although the railway connection from the Severn Valley branch to the power station wasn't built until 1940. Another equally speculative possibility is work starting on extending the Burlish Branch sidings up to the Steatite Factory which opened in 1929.
