- 1993 Prince and Princess Michael of Kent visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway aboard a VSOEVenice Simplon Orient Express 'Orient Express' charter. LMR 600 Gordon took over the incoming trip.[2]
- 2017 BR Class 42 D821 Greyhound returned to the SVRSevern Valley Railway following three years at Old Oak Common, where it was undergoing overhaul.
