LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway GresleySir Nigel Gresley, Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) of the London & North Eastern Railway 1923-1941 Open Third (TO) No 24105 was built 1936 by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCWBirmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company). In the early 1960s the coach was modified to act as the control and apparatus car in a mobile control train for use in the event of war. The modification included the fitting of double doors on one side.

24105 arrived on the SVRSevern Valley Railway in 1980. It spent many years at Bewdley as a restoration fund sales shop, before being restored for use. The restoration, which was assisted by sponsorship from Bewdley Round Table, included a modification to Diagram 186A to give access for up to four wheelchairs, retaining the control train double door modification and fitting an extra half-door on the opposite side to facilitate access.

24105 is owned by The LNER (SVR) Coach Fund.
