More than 200,000 of these 4-wheeled 16 ton open steel mineral wagons were built for British Railways between 1950 and 1957. This example, originally numbered B 275698, was built by Teesside Bridge & Engineering in 1956.[1] It also carried the Internal User number 041680[2]

It arrived on the SVR in August 1993 from Stratford, London, as one of a number of wagons owned by Mr J J Smith.[3]. As of 2018 it is stored at the Stourport Triangle.
