Talk:Bridgnorth Station Footbridge

Station master Chris Thomas has emailed me: "One factual error - the footbridge wasn't sandblasted and painted in the boiler shop - it was taken off-site. Somewhere in the Black Country I think it was. All that remained were the eight support columns." Any record in SVRSevern Valley Railway News where it went?--Patrick Hearn (talk) 22:25, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

I'm glad to see the powers-that-be read the Wiki! SVRSevern Valley Railway News only refers to to it moving to Dudley for refurbishment so I've edited the article accordingly. A picture shows it initially mounted on WD 314153 Well Wagon after being taken down but I assume that was just to move it out of the station prior to being taken away by road. I'm sure I've read of it being done in the works but that might have been on another occasion - I'll do some digging when time permits but a quick search suggests about 140 editions of SVRSevern Valley Railway News include the word 'footbridge' so it may take some finding! --Robin (talk) 23:06, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Ah no! I was editing an article of his for the newsletter and lifted this, only for him to correct me!--Patrick Hearn (talk) 23:14, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
