Hartlebury Junction was situated 27 chains north of [[Hartlebury | Hartlebury station]], at a distance of 132 miles 15 chains from London Paddington. Mileages on the Severn Valley branch ([[Engineer's Line References |Engineer’s Line Reference SVB]]) were measured from this point as far as [[Sutton Bridge Junction]] near [[Shrewsbury]].

==Signalling==
The junction had its own [[List of signal boxes#List of historical Signal Boxes and Ground Frames | signal box]] which opened in June 1876 and closed in April 1977.

== 1967 Accident ==
On 29 January 1967, a low speed head-on collision occurred between two freight trains at Hartlebury Junction, with diesel locomotives D7038 and D8138 involved.
