- 1986 Filming of "The Singing Detective" took place at Arley featuring 'Jinty' 47383.
- 1986 GWR 4930 Hagley Hall worked six Sunday Steam Specials between Andover and Ludgershall. £600 of tickets at £4.60 were also sold for the ECS working to Bristol (alight at Salisbury), 4930's last main line appearance.[1]
- 2019 50007 Hercules and 50049 Defiance took The Terminator – Phoenixed railtour from London Paddington to Penzance and return to Waterloo.
