The Somerset & Dorset Locomotive Company Limited was incorporated in May 2000, with the principal activity being the purchase, restoration and hire of locomotives.[1]
The Company owns and operated two BRBritish Rail or British Railways Class 20 locomotives based at the SVRSevern Valley Railway, D8059 and D8188. As of 2016[update] a third Class 20, 20177, is in course of being stripped for spares.[2]
