  • 1965 The Warwickshire Railway Society's 'Pennine Railtour' took ex-LNERLondon & North Eastern Railway 4472 Flying Scotsman to Carlisle.[1]
  • 1973 LMS Jinty 47383 first steamed on the SVRSevern Valley Railway.
  • 1985 Newly restored GWR 3717 City of Truro took part in a press 'run past' at Highley.[2]
  • 1993 Prince and Princess Michael of Kent visited the SVRSevern Valley Railway aboard a VSOEVenice Simplon Orient Express 'Orient Express' charter. LMR 600 Gordon took over the incoming trip.[3]
  • 2017 BR Class 42 D821 Greyhound returned to the SVRSevern Valley Railway following three years at Old Oak Common, where it was undergoing overhaul.
