On March 9 in SVRSevern Valley Railway history.- 1956 GWRGreat Western Railway Diesel Railcar W10W was destroyed in a fire at Bridgnorth.[1] "Passengers alighted safely before the driver moved the railcar alongside a water column at the platform end in an effort to save it."[2]
- 1985 D3022 hauled a passenger service for the first time, replacing 4930 Hagley Hall which had failed on the day[3].
