Berrington station in May 1964 (Sellick collection)

Berrington was a station on the original Severn Valley line between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury, located at milepost 168m 12c, 4¼ miles from Shrewsbury. It opened in 1880 with a single platform and siding, being expanded to a passing loop with two platforms, a signal box, and more significant sidings by 1898[1]. The station closed on 9 September 1963, when passenger services between Bewdley and Shrewsbury were suspended.
