A second similar crane was scrapped some years ago but its present form crane jib runner is now being converted into a rail-mounted survey vehicle for use in 2016. It is an opportunity to see parts of the railway not normally open to the public, including signal boxes, Bridgnorth loco works, Bewdley yard and Kidderminster carriage works with their dynamo test rigs (pictured)a Birmingham University science project.
