After being preserved , travels in 1973sections from Chester to Salisbury, it has been used as Santa's grotto a total distance of 219 miles. Part of the route follows the Severn Valley between the Ironbridge Gorge and more recently as a sales coachBewdley, but has yet to see operational serviceutilising sections of the former trackbed and crossing the present day railway twice.
