First preserved in 1991National Cycle Route 45, it fell into disrepair when trapped at Arley for 18 months following also known as the 2007 Storm Damage. It then spent some years "Mercian Way", travels in storagesections from Chester to Salisbury, being considered possibly surplus to requirementsa total distance of 219 miles. Part of the route follows the Severn Valley between the Ironbridge Gorge and Bewdley, before being overhauled utilising sections of the former trackbed and returned to service in 2016crossing the present day railway twice.[[<!--PAGE TO LINK TO--> BR 25771 Corridor SecondNational Cycle Route 45 | (Full article...)]]]]
