It is one of a of a rake of Mark 2 vehicles operated by Eastern Rail Services (ERS) and based on the Mid-Norfolk Railway (MNR), where it is used on services. ==9500 at the SVR==
One such hire was in May 2017 to the SVR for the Spring Diesel Festival, its air-braking capability being used by visiting mainline locomotives. 9500 was painted in BR Intercity livery.
