Summary
During 2022, 34027 Taw Valley was repainted in a 'Royal' purple livery and renamed No 70 'Elizabeth II' to commemorate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. At the start of 2023 the locomotive was temporarily repainted in a non-authentic SRSouthern Railway Wartime black livery as 21C127. The signwriters comment on the tender refers to the locomotive's previous livery. Photographed during the 'Open House Weekend', April 2023.
