Chris Walton

Christopher Wareing (Chris) Walton (b. January 1952) became interim chairman of SVR(H) in March 2023, in succession to Mike Ball.
Chris has been actively involved with the SVRSevern Valley Railway since 1969 as a guard and as Bridgnorth station master for 33 years. He became an SVRSevern Valley Railway(H) director around 40 years previously.
Before retiring as a chartered management accountant, he held roles at senior management level across several leading automotive companies.
