  • 1979 Minister of Transport Norman Fowler paid the SVR an official visit, honoring his pledge in Parliament to visit a private enterprise railway during the year[1].
  • 2000 The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association visited the SVR. The party, including 23 dogs, made a return trip on the line[2].
