DB 997623 was built circa 1951<ref>Railway Heritage Register Wagon Survey</ref>-1952<ref>SVR Stock Book</ref> at Swindon. It arrived on the SVR in December 1990 from Southall, then owned by Mr J J Smith.
DB 997623 is only 45 feet long, which limits its ability to carry rails compared to the SVR's other 60' long bogie bolsters, [[GWR 60841 Bogie Bolster | 60841]] & [[BR 996730 Rail Carrier | 996730]]
It was photographed at Bewdley in August 2015.
