The SVR Website lists The Fasting Girl among items filmed on the SVRSevern Valley Railway. SVRSevern Valley Railway News does not mention the filming of this drama.

A BBC Wales TV drama broadcast in 1984[1], it was a dramatisation of newspaper reports from 1869 concerning a little Welsh girl who was claimed to have fasted, with no significant loss of health, for more than a year[2].

A brief extract is featured in an ATV trailer on YouTube, thogh with no obvious SVRSevern Valley Railway connection.
