Once the Guarantee Company was formed, it ran in tandem with the SVRSSevern Valley Railway Society until late 1969. Things like the SVRSSevern Valley Railway Society promoting railtours and being the organisation referred to in SVRSevern Valley Railway News suggest that the SVRSSevern Valley Railway Society was the 'public face' while the Guarantee Company organised the purchase of the line and the granting of the LROLight Railway Order.
