- 1991 LMS 8233 hauled the Welsh Marches Express.[3]
- 2006 It was reported that Colin Binch was no longer employed as SVR General Manager.[4]
- 2016 The 'PacificLocomotive with a 4-6-2 wheel configuration Power' event began, featuring the first meeting of 60103 Flying Scotsman and 60163 Tornado. On the 'VIP Flying Scotsman Charity Day', Flying Scotsman hauled three round trips for around 1,200 supporters of the SVR Charitable Trust.
