- 1825 Henry Orlando Bridgeman was born. He was the Resident Engineer responsible for day-to-day construction work on the Severn Valley Railway and laid the foundation stone of Victoria Bridge in 1859.[1]
- 1985 The SVRSevern Valley Railway was presented with the ARPS Award for the re-opening of Kidderminster Town station. The ceremony took place at the NRMThe Railway Museum, formerly the National Railway Museum at York.[2]
