Hoo Road Bridge is the first road overbridge from Kidderminster, and is Bridge 1 in the current SVRSevern Valley Railway bridge number sequence.

The area of land immediately beyond Hoo Road Bridge on the left, as seen through the arch in the photograph, was the site of the former GWRGreat Western Railway / BRBritish Rail or British Railways Kidderminster Shed, where some of the locomotives working services from the south end of the Severn Valley Railway were stabled.
