Goodnight Mister Tom was a 1998 made-for-TV Movie featuring John Thaw (The Sweeney, Inspector Morse, etc.), from the novel by Michelle Magorian. The plot concerns the developing friendship between a shy young WWII evacuee and the disgruntled old man with whom he is housed[1].

Filming on the SVRSevern Valley Railway took place at Arley. The locomotive used was GWR Mogul 7325, 'weathered' in an attempt to camouflage the post-War BRBritish Rail or British Railways livery[2]. In an other scene a Busy London station was needed so they Used Loughborough station on the Great central railway but they needed 7325 to. unfortunately it was not available so they used 7325's Number plates and put them on GW 'Modified hall' 6990 Witherslack hall . A railway enthusiast can see the differences between the two scenes cause the hall is a larger loco .
