On August 11 in SVRSevern Valley Railway history.
- 1968 Future SVRSevern Valley Railway resident 45110 hauled the final leg of the ‘Fifteen Guinea Special’, the last ‘official’ steam train run by BRBritish Rail or British Railways.[1]
- 1975 LMS 8233, 43106 and three coaches travelled to Shildon to take part in the Rail 150 celebrations.[2]
- 1978 The Western Locomotive Association staged an open day.[3]
- 1998 45110 took part in a press event at Bridgnorth to mark 30 years since the end of BRBritish Rail or British Railways steam[4].
