Ron Treverton-Jones
Ronald ('Ron') Treverton-Jones (b. August 1949) was Chair of the Charitable Trust from March 2023 to September 2024, succeeding Tim Hargest and succeeded by Judith Meredith. He was a trustee from October 2016 and became the chairman of the investment committee.
As the Chairman of stockbrokers EFG Harris Allday until December 2017, he was already familiar with the Charitable Trust's work before he joined the board of trustees. EFG Harris Allday were members of the Trust's Corporate Partnership Club and supported the Railway through event sponsorship. His expertise in helping to identify trusts and grant-making bodies proved invaluable. He was keen on developing a new generation of engineers within the Heritage Skills Training Academy. He resigned on grounds of ill health[1].
