- 1861 Col. Yolland, the Board of Trade Inspector, recommended that the Board of Trade should sanction opening the Railway.
- 2010 The points at Hampton Loade were being relaid following the derailment of 43106 the previous autumn. Services from Kidderminster terminated at Highley while the work took place.
