Summary

Description
English: Hampton Loade washout The severe storms of 19th June 2007 caused severe damage to the Severn Valley Railway at many locations between Bewdley and Bridgnorth. Here near Hampton Loade the drainage couldn't cope and a section on the formation was washed down towards the River Severn. The track has been lifted to allow inspection and repairs to take place. Repairs to this particular location have involved excavating down to the foot of the embankment. At the date of posting the repairs have just been completed however it will probably be November 2007 before services can resume at this point, although the railway continues to operate between Bewdley and Kidderminster.
