Summary
70442 is seen in Rothley C&WCarriage & Wagon Works prior to dispatch to the SVRSevern Valley Railway for dismantling and incorporation into 24506. Surprisingly from this view, the life expired steel panels hid teak side framework that was mostly in very good condition and provided much of the framing for the passenger end of 24506 as well as the underframe.
