  • 1861 Col. Yolland, the Board of Trade Inspector, withheld permission to open the Railway due to certain works not being complete.[1]
  • 1948 The line was blocked by a landslide at Arley.[2]
  • 1972 The SVRSevern Valley Railway announced that the £150,000 share capital of SVR(H) had been fully subscribed.[3]
  • 1989 SR 34027 Taw Valley took The Thames-Avon railtour between Marylebone - Stratford and return[4][5].
